Abstract

Porstmodern cinema, as a current which left modernistic trends behind, is born from the post-industrial era, where everything can be considered merchandise; even human beings. Three different aspects of this current will be described in this article: firstly, indifference as a result of the end of emotions in a world of chain production; secondly, the blurring of the border between reality and fiction within memory via mechanisms like repetition, which distort the original value of the memory in question; and thirdly, the fight between the logic thinking of machines (set up by man) and that of nature (the most naturally human one), with its tragic consequences including unhappiness and the prevention of the evolution of beauty.
