Abstract

The forgotten places are worlds within others worlds, places without rules, without order or control. They are expectant places to be dreamed. They talk us about the complexity and the blurring limits between the planned and unplanned city. Through Wenders’ film Wings of Desire, especially considering his script and filming process, we investigate about certain significant places in Berlin which share many of the qualities of these forgotten places that were carefully selected by the director in 1987. This way, we discover a creative process as a sum of fragments of scenes associated with places in town which built an itinerary that leads to an unprecedented and new experience on the city of Berlin.
